French publishing house created by Paul Laffitte in Paris in 1917.

The company ceased its activity in 1935.

Its catalog made it possible to rediscover forgotten texts and launch promising young authors like Guillaume Apollinaire or Jean Cocteau.

In 1920, La Sirène bought the former Société d'éditions musicales Paul Dupont and transformed the shop on rue de la Boétie into a music bookshop.

Signed by Paul Laffitte.

Beautiful design by the Franco-Greek artist Dimitrius Galanis.
