Bearer share of 100 francs issued in Paris in 1904.

In 1818, Jacques Laffitte bought the castle built in the 17th century by the architect François Mansart and gave his name to the town. His nephew Charles Laffitte (1803-1875), banker, rider and French politician, promoters of the construction of the Paris-Rouen railway, participated in the creation of the water supply network of the town of Maisons-Laffitte from 1859 when he was a municipal councillor.

On the death of his uncle, the castle had been sold for the benefit of a project led by the Société des Terrains du Château de Maisons-Laffitte founded by Joseph Simondet (signature on the share). The object of the company was to build houses in the park of the Château de Maisons-Laffitte on 250,000 m² of wooded land. The project included the destruction of the castle but the population opposed it with the help of the press. The project was abandoned in 1905 and the city eventually bought the park.

In 1911, not far from the Château, the land hosted the Hôtel Royal, opened by Henri Ruhl, director of the Société des Hôtels de Luxe (Carlton, Hôtel Royal de Nice, Grand Hôtel de Cabourg, etc.).

Head office of the company: Paris, 6 Place Saint-Michel.

Rare document with only 500 shares issued in capital.
