Numistoria, specialist in Scripophily, historical bonds and shares since 1973
Numistoria, is the largest specialist for French scripophily and one among the largest dealers for International old Stock Certificates. Nearly 16,000 collectible certificates are on display from across the world!
The company is founded in 1973 in Paris by Guy Cifré. He is one of the first to take an interest in old stock certificates.
Editor of reference books about French Scripophily
Guy Cifré wrote three books allowing even the non-french-fluent collector to use the volumes. Issues are classified alphabetically and topically in themes and areas:
3000 Titres Français Répertoriés et Cotés, 3000 old bonds and shares listed by themes
La France d'Outre-Mer (France of Overseas), about French Colonies and Overseas territories
La France en Titres, French Regional directory (sold out).
At first located 49 rue Vivienne, then 76 rue de Richelieu in Paris, his wife Françoise then his daughter Christèle took over the company.
The Parisien shop has closed in 2015 and offices moved just near Paris. Numistoria's business continues exclusively online.
In 30 years this shop has been a meeting place for professionnals of the financial industry but also for all public coming from France and overseas, looking throughout the old stock certificates for a glimpse of social and economic history.
"Decrypting a signature, analyzing an illustration is a fascinating form of investigation.
Admire the graphic beauty, the disorientation or the humor of the old titles, are always so many good reasons to make them a place of choice, under frame, at the office or at home."
Numistoria is a member of Association des Collectionneurs de Titres Financiers (ACTIF) and International Bond & Share Society.
