Share of 500 francs to bearer issued in Paris in 1891.
Sumptuous decor illustrated by Métivet and Bauchart. Views of balloons in the air, especially above the Seine with the Eiffel Tower in the background. Mention of "Fire, Air, Water, Earth".
The purpose of the company was the acquisition or construction of transportable balloons, the creation and operation of aerostation parks in France and abroad. Head office at 2 rue Tronchet, Paris.
The first Directors were the two French aeronauts Louis Godard (1829-1885) and Edouard Surcouf (1862-1938) (sub-director). As early as 1866, Louis Godard had planned to include balloon ascents at the Universal Exhibition of 1867. The gas-filled balloons could stay in the air for up to 10 days at 250 or 300 meters in height.
2,000 shares were issued in the capital of the company (1 million francs).
