The spring was discovered in 1760 by Doctor Bagard, doctor of King Louis XV.

The Academy of Medicine having recognized the natural mineral water of Contrexéville for its beneficial effects on health (and undoubtedly for the diseases mentioned on the title), the water is marketed from 1908.

In 1976, the water changed its name to henceforth be called "Contrex".

Contrexéville is still a renowned center for spa treatments.

Headoffice in Paris, 28 rue de Gramont.

Beautiful design by Charles Crabbe, with decorated vignettes.
