The first film studios were produced for Pathé and Gaumont at the beginning of the 20th century.

The Joinville Studios Company was created by Pathé in 1919. The studios are located at 20 avenue du Général Gallieni in Joinville-le-Pont (Val-de-Marne).

Will be filmed in Joinville Chiqué, Les Misérables, Les enfants du Paradis by Marcel Carné, etc. The studios remained in operation from 1910 to 1987.

In 1920, Charles Pathé sold the Studios of Joinville to a new company called "Pathé Consortium Cinéma" (but in which Pathé was careful not to invest).

The buildings of the Joinville studios were demolished in 1991 to make way for residential buildings.
