The commune of Eaux-Bonnes benefited from the craze for hydrotherapy in the 19th century.

In 1808, Napoleon I created a central administration of thermal waters.

The resorts of Bagnères-de-Bigorre, Cauterets, Luz, Barèges, Capvern, Labassère, Eaux-Bonnes, Eaux-Chaudes, Cambo and Luchon are grouped together and managed by the administration.

The application of this decision will only be very partial and little by little the sources are regaining communal management. The cities then grant concessions for the exploitation of water sources.

Rare: only 5000 shares issued.

Beautiful design by Ch. Crabbe.
