The "SIFED" company founded in 1926 by Mr. Eugène Milliès-Lacroix (signature on the left on the share), fabric merchant and mayor of the town of Dax in the Landes.

In 1929, he had the Splendid Hotel built in the Art Deco style, designed by the architect André Granet who had just designed the Salle Pleyel in Paris. The hotel houses the thermal baths in the basement.

The company then bought the Hôtel Adour and the Hôtel Graciet. The company will be bought in 1968 by the city via a mixed economy company "Compagnie Thermale de Dax".

Frieze in Art Deco style (rare). Illustrated share of establishments.
