Jules Vieillard was also the founder of the Company J. Vieillard & Cie, Bordeaux earthenware factory, located on the Bacalan quay. It succeeded the manufacture of Bordeaux of English origin David Jonhston (who will become mayor of Bordeaux!) In 1845, it was managed by Jules Vieillard until his death in 1868: his sons Albert and Charles, who share the management with their father since 1865, took over until its closure in 1895.
