1,000-franc share issued in Colombes in 1935.

A subsidiary of the Swedish company L M Ericsson, founded in 1876 by Lars Magnus Ericsson, the factory was located on Boulevard d'Achéres in Colombes, following the fire that destroyed the Parisian exchange on Rue Gutemberg (1908).

In 1943, the company won the contract to manufacture the U43 telephone (Universal 1943), the black Bakelite telephone that was selected by the PTT administration to equip the French network.

It later became the Société des Téléphones Thomson-Ericsson, and later the Compagnie Industrielle du Téléphone.
