Mortgage loan in 1st rank of 30 million francs in 1910 for the construction of an electric traction train which was to link Brig (located on the Jura-Simplon line), Gletsch (Glacier du Rhône), Disentis (sources of the Rhine), where the junction with the Rhaetian Railway was to be made.

Document signed by Compte d'Ormesson, which, with a French financial group, had acquired the majority of the shares, in order to take control of the company. The initial project was modified by the new owners who replaced electric traction with steam and introduced sections with steep gradients which were to be equipped with a rack system.

The war complicated the work. In 1916, all work was definitively stopped. From then on, only a minimal service was provided on the Brig-Gletsch section, but operations remained loss-making, despite the aid provided by the public authorities. In 1923 and 1924, bankruptcy was declared and the company liquidated.
