The Compagnie des Tramways Normands operated the secondary lines from Avranches to Saint-James and from Pontorson to Mont-Saint-Michel, in the Manche department. This metre-gauge line was one of the emblematic secondary railways of Lower Normandy, allowing pilgrims and tourists to reach the famous site of Mont-Saint-Michel during the Belle Époque. Share capital of seven hundred thousand francs divided into 1,400 shares of 500 francs each, articles of association received by Maître Blanchard and his colleague Maître Berthault, notaries in Paris, on 12 September 1901, and approved by the shareholders' general meeting of 18 September 1901.

This Bearer Share of Five Hundred Francs, numbered 0 308, is printed in black on pink paper within a Belle Époque border with geometric motifs. Red and blue stamps of the Société des Transports Normands (transfer), original directors' signatures. A partial sheet of attached coupons at the bottom (numbered coupons, several with mentions and stamps). A document highly sought after for its strong touristic and regional theme (Mont-Saint-Michel) as well as for its history of Norman secondary railways.
