The Banco Central Mexicano, headed by Joseph Simon, was authorized to issue notes corresponding to its reserves. Following the financial crisis of 1910, a banking panic took shape. The establishment could not ensure the payments. After reducing its capital from 30 to 10 million pesos, the Banco Central was put into bankruptcy in 1913.

Also called "Blueberries bonds".
