The Cave of Fauzan (also called Cave of Aldene or Cave of the Shell, or Minerva) is located on the territory of the municipality of Cesseras, not far from the hamlet of Fauzan.

It opens onto the right bank of the Cesse, a tributary of the Aude.

The cave had a well for the extraction of phosphates from 1888. The company was declared bankrupt in 1932.

The cave was then acquired in 1934 by a company founded by MM. Boutet and Parisi de Cesseras who took care of selling the phosphate stocks of the previous company.
