Doctor Louis Eugène Perrier, director of the thermal establishments of Euzet-Les-Bains, is interested in the source of Vergèze, of which he knows the properties of the water which springs from it.

He finances the creation of a spa and a bottling station. In 1898 he bought the spring, and the thermal establishment became the Company of Mineral Waters, Drinks, Hygienic Products of Vergèze.

This water will receive many awards mentioned on these documents such as gold medals and diplomas of honor in Paris, Ghent and Marseille. "The champagne of table waters" was its very first slogan.
