Share of 25 NF - Paris, after 1960
Share to bearer of 25 new francs issued in Paris after 1960 (starting the new francs replacing 100 old francs).
Gustave Eiffel created his first company in 1863, G. Eiffel et Cie, which filed for bankruptcy in 1889. Gustave Eiffel immediately created another company, "La Compagnie des Etablissements Eiffel", whose head office is located in Paris, 35 rue Pasquier. Eiffel left the board of directors in 1893, replaced by Maurice Koechlin, his faithful engineer who ran the design offices.
That same day, the company changed its name to "Société de Construction de Levallois-Perret". The company creates metal structures including bridges in France but quite quickly in the colonies. Eiffel died in 1923 but his name was used to rename the company "Anciens Etablissements Eiffel".
