Former French public limited company "Entreprises Métropolitaines et Coloniales" incorporated in 1927 under the name "Le Bien Foncier", transformed in 1928 into "L'Industrielle et Foncière de Madagascar et des Colonies" then into "Entreprises Métropolitaines et Coloniales, former Establishments, Léon Dubois" in 1934.

This last company was at the origin of the creation in 1966 of CFEM, Compagnie Française d'Entreprises Métalliques, which became Eiffel Construction Métallique in 1989, before joining Eiffage in 1992.
