€30.00

Certificate of 10 bonds of 100 Escudos each (10,000 Esc) issued in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1954.

The shipping company was founded in 1922 in Angola to serve the Portuguese overseas colonies in Africa. The first two ships, named the Guinea I and the Ganda I, served Angola, the Cape Verde Islands and Guinea Bissau.

The increase in air traffic led to the decline of the company in the 1950s, and some ships were transformed into cruise ships. In 1974, the company merged with the Empresa Insulana de Navegação (EIN) to form the Companhia Portuguesa de Transportes Marítimos (CPTM).

Nice design decorated with a cruisehip.
