Use of processes Rodolphe Berthon (optician and astronomer from Lyon) whose invention enabled the first color films in 1908.
While the Société du film en couleurs Keller-Dorian in deficit changed its name to become the Société Française de Cinématographie et de Photographie (Cinematography and Photography French Company), Rodolphe Berthon decided to dissociate himself from it and founded the Société Française Cinéchromatique in January 1929.
In the team, there is an engineer also dissident, and the astronomer Charles Nordmann. Funding comes from a Nantes canning industrialist, E. Caudera (signature on the document).
