Founder Share - Bordeaux
Founder's share issued in Bordeaux (head office 11 to 19 rue Sainte-Catherine) undated.
In 1898 by the Gompel brothers transformed the company Gompel et Cie and created a company named Paris-France to operate the chain of department stores "Aux Dames de France" (whose shares were illustrated by the famous Art Nouveau artist Mucha).
The company has its head office in Bordeaux. It then merged with the British company Kauffmann and Auscher and was bought in 1985 by the Galeries Lafayette group, which incorporated the stores that still existed.
