With the famous diamond-shaped logo.

It was by converting his De Dion-Bouton tricycle into a 4-wheel "cart" that he fitted with a new so-called "direct drive" gearbox that Louis Renault entered the automotive industry. Its workshops are in Boulogne Billancourt. In 1905, he received an order for 250 taxis, and reorganized his facilities from craftsmanship to mass production.

Facsimile signature of Pierre Dreyfus, first vice-president then president of the board of directors following the accidental death of Pierre Lefaucheux (first CEO of the Renault agency) in 1955. He will remain there until 1975. He will be then appointed Minister of Industry under the French president François Mitterrand.
