Famous peanut oil refining house founded in 1908 by Georges Lesieur with his three sons Maurice, Paul and Henri. It was the first to sell returnable glass bottles.

Its logo composed of four red diamonds would symbolize the four founding members.

The factory was located in Coudekerque-Branche (near Dunkirk in the North). In 1924, the company displayed the slogan "A single quality, the best", then in 1985 the famous "No error, it's Lesieur".

During the Second World War, Lesieur suffered the shutdown of its facilities in France and had to establish itself in Africa, where its three factories would enter into service, in Dakar in 1943, in Casablanca in 1944 and in Algiers in 1948.
