The Russian Pipe Rolling Mills Company (Общество Русскихъ Трубопрокатныхъ Заводовъ) was a major Russian steel company specializing in the rolling and manufacture of steel pipes, essential products for the oil industry (Baku pipelines), the gas industry, and industrial construction in the Russian Empire during the Belle Époque. This certificate is a BEARER SHARE OF 500 ROUBLES, FOURTH ISSUE, dated 1899. Number No. 5592. Share capital of 3,500,000 roubles. Bilingual Russian / French text. Elegant design in blue and grey tones, central cartouche, a handwritten side note concerning a share participation in 1912 and a new issue. Dry stamp of the "Общество Русскихъ Трубопрокатныхъ Заводовъ" company at the bottom left. Signatures of the Cashier, the Accountant and Members of the Management.
Apparent condition: very good, clean paper, well-preserved inks, legible signatures, minor edge wear and usual fold marks.
An uncommon piece of Russian steel-industry scripophily, interesting for its link to the oil industry (transport pipes) and its large denomination (500 roubles).
