The Mayor of the town of Chalons, department of the Marne, attests to whom it may concern that citizen Jean Claude Lepinette, former hunter of the 7th Company of the 9th Battalion of the 10th Light Brigade, pensioned for wounds, arrived in this town on 29 Floréal Year 9, and that since his return home he has received no relief, aid or supplies, and that he has in no way been a burden on the Republic. In witness whereof this attestation has been issued to him. Done at Chalons on 11 Prairial Year 10 of the Republic.
