The Lou company was founded by André Faller and Lucienne, known as ''Lou'', who designed and sewed her lingerie from the age of 16. Together they create the LOU lingerie company in Grenoble, because of their common passion for skiing.

The company was very successful and was sold in 1971 to Générale Alimentaire.

The company was bought by Jean Bellanger Entreprise in 1978.
