Signed by Ernest Vaughan, former writer in the newspaper "L'Intransigeant" and founder of the socialist republican newspaper "L'Aurore" in 1897.

This newspaper became famous by publishing the article "J'accuse" in 1898 by Emile Zola, sthe starting point of the Dreyfus case. 

The newspaper disappeared in 1914 at the begining of the war.
