Company formed by New Caledonian businessman John Higginson. He entrusted his son-in-law Louis Pélatan, engineer, with the management of the works. The deposit is located not far from the mouth of the Diahot (concession of Nemou and Pilou). The mined area is called the Herbert Copper Lode. The company will be liquidated in 1891.
