Share of 250F - Chateau d'Oleron 1912
Rare : Issue of only 500 shares.
Transport company (stagecoaches then crossing from the continent to the island) created by the Bouineau family on the Ile d'Oléron, before the construction of the Oléron bridge.
The company developed thanks to André Bouineau, General Councilor and Mayor of Château d'Oléron, giving it an international cabotage dimension with ships sailing from the Atlantic coast to the Gulf of Guinea.
He also developed the railway on the island.
The company, whose boats were requisitioned by German troops, did not survive the Second World War. The company went bankrupt in 1958.
