House of fine wines and spirits, notably port, founded in 1858 by Pierre Valade Cour du Médoc, in the heart of the Chartrons district of Bordeaux.

Valade transports its wine by boat from Porto through the Douro Valley. The company then teamed up with Transandine, which specializes in importing wines from Latin America.

Jean-Luc Soubie successively acquired the two companies in 2000 and 2006 to form Valade & Transandine.
