Inspired by the health resorts of the Swiss and German Alps in the Black Forest, the Société des Sanatoria de France was founded by investors interested in the market for luxury cures for tuberculosis patients.

Two sites were chosen because of their geographical and climatic location: Bonmorin in Auvergne and Panaglia near Nice. Each site, of equal hotel capacity (180 rooms, double the standard of the time), was to be used for half the year each, the residents thus being able to move from one center to another depending on the season.

The construction of the Bonmorin sanatorium was started in the spring of 1896 but had to be quickly interrupted. The project was then abandoned and the site of the second sanatorium ever opened.

Beautiful design with vignettes of the Sanatorium of Bonmorin (Auvergne) and the Sanatorium of Panaglia (near Nice).

With all coupons.
