The De Dion Bouton Motor Cab Company Limited is the British subsidiary of the French automobile brand De Dion-Bouton, created to operate motor cabs on the streets of London. The British capital, with its hansom cabs and horse-drawn omnibuses, was in full transition to motorised traction, and several motor taxi companies were formed in London between 1905 and 1910. The company is registered under the Companies Acts 1862 to 1907, with a capital of £220,000 divided into two categories: 217,000 7% Cumulative Participating Ordinary Preference Shares of £1 each, and 60,000 Deferred Shares of 1/- each (one shilling).
