Company founded by Auguste Doriot (1863-1955) and Ludovic Flandrin who worked for Peugeot then Clément-Bavard. They founded Doriot-Flandrin in Courbevoie in 1906. In 1908, they were joined by Alexandre and Jules-René Parant with whom they founded the new automobile industry "Doriot, Flandrin & Parant (D.F.P.)" and manufacture and market automobiles with Chapuis-Dornier engines.

In 1926, the plant was sold to the automobile manufacturer Lafitte, which in turn closed in 1928.
