Blue-bordered variant — a color traditionally reserved for higher-denomination certificates — of the Compagnie Vinicole Champenoise certificate. A public limited company with a capital of 450,000 francs, head office at 37 rue du Champ-de-Mars in Reims (Marne), articles of association filed with Maître Vignes, notary in Troyes, on 14 January 1921. This certificate certifies five bearer shares of 100 francs each (numbered 3,966 to 3,970), fully paid up, dated 22 August 1924 in Reims. The design is strictly identical to that of the one- or two-share certificates, here rendered in a deep blue enhanced with black. Signatures of the two directors in office, fiscal stamp and registration stamp present. Printed in intaglio on watermarked paper. Apparent condition: very good, clean inks, firm paper, minimal archive folds. A remarkable document for collectors of Champagne-region scripophily or to build a series from the same issue (1, 2, 5, 10 shares). A graphically attractive piece, ideal as a collector's gift or themed wine-cellar/oenology decoration.
