Founder share to bearer dated Paris 1923.

Head office was 58, rue de Charonne, Paris 11th.

The establishments manufactured Ovomaltine, "a tonic natural food, an energetic fortifier for childhood and for any person weakened by illness, old age, physical overwork", produced from barley, milk, fresh egg yolk, flavored with cocoa", as we can read in advertising documents of the time.

Mr. Albert Wander, a Swiss chemist and pharmacist, founded the company in 1904 after the creation of Ovomaltine in 1865 by his father Georg.

Illustration of a woman on a lion, probably evoking the strength of Ovomaltine.

Rare: only 2000 founder shares in capital. Specimen (unissued)

VF condition: marked fold. With 5 coupons.
