The establishment specialized in the canning of sardines in oil, at the time a luxury dish on the great tables of the world. 40 million boxes are manufactured in France in 1900.

Until 1890 most of the boxes were sold abroad (England, India, Brazil, United States, Mexico...) to be placed on the biggest tables. But after that time, international competition became increasingly fierce.
