Illustrated certificate of the portrait of François-Vincent Raspail (1794-1878), chemist, botanist and politician.
The son, Emile Raspail (1831-1887), a chemical engineer, runs Maison Raspail for the drugstore where he sells his father's camphor and his brother's equipment. He founded a distillery and made the Raspail elixir in Arcueil.
Sold in 1950, the distillery was acquired by Etablissements Bols, liquor manufacturers in Amsterdam.
