Jean-Baptiste Valdelièvre founded with his wife Suzanne Penne a foundry workshop created in Saint-Pierre.

After the foundry, it was thanks to its flax spinning mill that in the middle of the century the Valdelièvre-Penne couple and their sons would dominate the business community of Saint-Pierre-lès-Calais.

We can consider that the Valdelièvre family was at the origin of the development of several driving sectors of the local economy - the foundry, the flax spinning, the mechanical sawmill and the timber trade - and participated, in its own way, in the 'essential activity which dominated the square in the 19th century, the manufacture of so-called "mechanical" tulle and lace.

Rare, only 800 shares issued.

Signed by Valdelièvre.
