Company founded in 1824. A wire-drawing workshop was built in 1879, expanded with a nail-making workshop in 1883.

In 1885, the factory created a Heating and Boilermaking department.

The construction of a steam production plant in 1906 allowed the abandonment of hydraulic power. A tinning workshop, new mechanized rolling mill trains and electric furnaces were installed around 1909.

A new steelworks was built in 1923 with two Martin furnaces, a sheet metal workshop in 1924 and a rolling workshop in 1933.

After the steelworks closed in 1954, the company bought its raw material in Lorraine and continued to produce silicon steel sheets for electrical construction (dynamos, motors, transformers), special sheets for stamping and so-called shutter sheets for shop fronts, as well as wire-drawn products (nails, rivets).

The Steel department ceased operations in 1968. The Heating, Piping and Boilermaking department worked mainly for the refining, chemical and nuclear industries, then closed its doors in 1971.
