The Société du Golf de Morfontaine, a public limited company with a capital of 200,000 francs, was created to operate the famous Golf de Morfontaine — one of the most prestigious golf courses in France, designed by Tom Simpson amid the woods and ponds of the Oise. The registered office was provisionally set in Paris, 5 avenue Gabriel, "at the Golfer's Club". This sporting company is extremely sought after in scripophily circles: shares of prestigious golf clubs are rare and highly in demand.

This registered Certificate for One Share of 5000 francs, paid up to 1250 francs, made out in the name of Monsieur Édouard Maneuvrier (residing in Paris, 19 rue Pucher), for One share number 37, is dated 15 December 1926 in Paris. Certificate number 9. Blue Belle Époque border with arabesques. "Titres Français Toujours, Abonnement" stamping mark. Payment stamps for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarters at the bottom of the sheet (each payment of 125 francs per share). Two original directors' signatures, including Armand de Gramont, Duc de Guiche. Printed by the Papeterie de la Finance. Very good condition. An extremely rare French golf-collecting piece.
