The company head office was located in Paris, 3 rue du Coq Héron, near the "Journal La Lanterne" and the famous newspaper "Le Petit Figaro".

Founded in 1845 under the patronage of Guizot, the Journal "L'Époque" appeared shortly, from October 1845 to February 1847 only.

The newspaper was edited by Félix Solar.

This dynastic and ultra-conservative sheet was to compete with the newspaper "La Presse".

Large in size (75 x 50 cm), the newspaper dealt with politics, but also with science, law, commerce and literature.

Rare document signed by the manager Félix Solar.
