The Société Française des Pétroles "Premier", with a capital of 125,000,000 francs divided into 250,000 shares of 500 francs each, was a French oil company founded in the great post-1914-18 wave when France sought to secure its energy supplies. Head office in Paris, articles of association filed with Maîtres Panhard and Legay, notaries in Paris, on 4 October 1920.

This Bearer Founder's Share, numbered 24 161, is dated 15 October 1920 in Paris. The central design, in an oval vignette, depicts a magnificent oil-industry landscape: derricks lined up on the seashore at sunset — a realistic Art Deco illustration typical of the oil iconography of the 1920s. A refined decorative border in blue and red, a stylized "SFP" upper cartouche. Red fiscal stamps "Titres Français Toujours Abonnement", official red dry stamp. Printed by Eclairs et Bauer in Paris. The document bears a light handwritten note "Capital de Pétrole 1925". A very fine graphic document sought after by enthusiasts of oil scripophily and industrial iconography.
