Share issued in Voiron 1933.

The company produced a liquor called China China.

In addition to the notoriety of Voiron in terms of paper, textiles or steel, the city built a solid reputation for its liqueurs, which were then nationally and even internationally renowned.

Three major liqueur makers set up their production in Voiron: the Brun-Pérod distillery, the Labbé distillery and the Meunier distillery.

Claude Brun was the inventor of the China-China liqueur in 1808. He created the Brun-Pérod Cie distillery in 1817, which he set up in the south of the city within an important architectural complex which includes, among other things, the dwelling house and its park.
