The Société des Grés de Breteuil "Rousseau & Cie", with a capital of 550,000 francs divided into 1,100 shares of 500 francs each, operated stoneware workshops and kilns in Breteuil-sur-Iton (Eure). The production of Breteuil stoneware — vases, jugs, utilitarian and artistic pitchers — was renowned throughout France at the turn of the 19th-20th century. Established by deed received by Maîtres Lunois and Leroy, notaries in Breteuil, on 26 May 1899.

This Bearer Share, made out to Monsieur Gabriel Loiseau (a member of the Supervisory Board), has an exceptional Art Nouveau border: large bindweed, elongated flowers and plant arabesques very characteristic of the 1900 period, on both sides of the sheet. At the bottom, a partial sheet of attached coupons (numbered 50, 51, 52, 53...) with the mention "Share 0901 / Coupon of XX". Two original signatures (Lunois and the Managing Director). A very fine graphic document, sought after for its decorative Art Nouveau design and the interest of French ceramics.
