Watch factory located in Villers-le-Lac by Lac-ou-Villers (Doubs).

Founder of the watch blank factory bearing his name, Hippolyte Parrenin had his factory built in the center of the city in 1876-1877.

In difficulty at the beginning of the 1970s, the factory was taken over by its main client, Remex International Precision Time LTD, of Hong Kong.

In 1990, the latter ceased the manufacture of mechanical movements while continuing to manufacture analog quartz movements (started at the end of 1980). She then opened a new factory at the entrance to the village on the Morteau side (at 2 rue des Combottes), which closed in 1992 when she withdrew from Parrenin.
