In 1909, the Cie Bordelaise des Comptoirs Africains took over from the Société Coloniale Française de la Côte de Guinée. The head office was then 62 rue de Provence in Paris and the commercial head office in Bordeaux, 30, allées de Tourny.

The head office was then transferred to Bordeaux, 24, cours du Pavé-des-Chartrons.

Then the Compagnie Générale des Comptoirs Africains bought the assets of the Compagnie Bordelaise des Comptoirs Africains in 1923, the latter being dissolved in 1925.
