English company founded in 1908 for the construction of a road between Pintados, a junction with the Tarapacá railways, and Pueblo Hundido, current Diego de Almagro and a junction with the northern network. The road was built between 1910 and 1914 over more than 700 km on relatively rugged terrain with many elevation changes. The operation was transferred in 1961 to the Empresa de los Ferrocarriles del Estado and remained in operation until the 1970s.
With a nice vignette of a railroad.
