A rare fede di credito (debt certificate) issued by the Banco di Corte of Naples in 1808, under the reign of Joseph Bonaparte. A manuscript document in brown ink on laid paper, framed with a border typical of the public banks of Naples. Bears the printed mention « Contanti d'Argento » (silver cash), with numerous handwritten annotations of successive partial payments and transfers, attesting to active circulation. On the back, an « ESITO » (payment made) stamp with a record of payments dated 1807–1808. A first-rate piece for collectors of Italian scripophily and banking history of the Mezzogiorno under French rule.
