The Banque Mosseri-Assayas, a public limited company with a capital of fifteen million francs divided into 30,000 shares of 500 francs each (including 15,000 category A shares and 15,000 category B shares), was a private bank founded by the Mosseri and Assayas families — from the great Levantine Sephardic bourgeoisie, heavily involved in international finance between Egypt (Cairo, Alexandria) and France. Its Paris head office was at 91 rue des Petits-Champs. Articles of association filed with Maître Baudrier, notary in Paris, on 30 December 1927.

This fully paid-up Bearer B Share of Five Hundred francs, numbered 21 008, is dated Paris, April 1928. Printed within a navy-blue border richly decorated with Belle Époque arabesques and palmettes, red oval "Banque Mosseri Assayas" (BMA) stamp, subscription stamping mark dated 14 March 1928. "Banque Mosseri Assayas" watermark. Two original directors' signatures in pen. Printed by André Cluseret in Paris in April 1928. A carefully produced graphic document, very fair condition.
