Former Hamelle David, Pillivuyt et Cie establishments, the company's main purpose was dyeing, spinning, edging, weaving of all textile materials and more specifically wool, cotton and silk.
3,000 shares were allocated to Mr. Bocheux for his contributions to the company.
The company received prizes at the Universal Exhibitions in Paris in 1855 and 1867 and in London in 1851.
