If you like rounded and flowery shapes, the collection of Art Nouveau shares is fascinating.

At the end of the 19th century, the titles became richly illustrated. Art Nouveau and Art Deco actions are now very popular with collectors.

Art Nouveau dates from the end of the 19th century. He was born in Belgium in 1893, a year marked by the inauguration of the Hôtel Tassel in Brussels, built by the architect Victor Horta. In France, Hector Guimard embodied Art Nouveau in Paris through the entrances of the Paris Métro, and Emile Gallé through architecture in Nancy. Gaudi, for his part, designed buildings with the same curves in Barcelona.

Art Nouveau is called "Jugendstil" in Germany and "Arts & Crafts" or "Modern Style" in England.

Art Nouveau is characterized by a light design, with rounded and flowery shapes, promoting aesthetics. Curves and arabesques are very present, evoking nature and plants. The style is sometimes called the "noodle style" because of its intertwined shapes, frequently found on securities, as illustrated by the certificate of the Compagnie Générale des Auto-Transports.

Famous artists of this period such as Félix Schmidt, Paul Cauchie, Catenacci or Mucha lent themselves to the design of Art Nouveau engravings. Many shares illustrated by Ch. Crabbe uses also Art Nouveau design.
